Today is November 18, 2024, a date we’ll remember as a milestone for our little venture that started with a dream, an immense amount of faith, and our hands in clay. My dear husband has just put the finishing touches on our website rebuild—his tenth attempt, each one better than the last. We pray this is the one that sticks! If you’ve ever tried to create something from scratch, you’ll understand how challenging it can be. But as they say, humble beginnings lead to great things, especially when you trust in our Father in heaven every step of the way.
We’re Selah Lifestyle, a small family business nestled in the heart of Kent, UK. Here, we craft handmade, scripture-inspired ceramics, pouring the Word of God into every piece we create. Moving to the UK and starting this business has been far from easy. In fact, it’s been one of the most challenging experiences of our lives. Learning to navigate an unfamiliar business landscape while adjusting to a new culture hasn’t come without its struggles. And making friends? Let’s just say it hasn’t been simple.
But, oh, how faithful God has been! Over the last four years, He has brought just the right people into our lives at the right moments, restoring our hope and reminding us that we’re never truly alone. These encounters—those God-appointed connections—fuel us to keep going.
We believe Selah has been placed in our hearts for a reason, and we have such big dreams for what it can become. But, like any startup, this season has been one of planting seeds. It’s not glamorous. It’s messy and exhausting. But it’s also deeply rewarding because we know that every piece of ceramic we create is more than just art—it’s a vessel of faith, encouragement, and community.
