Finding Healing and Purpose Through Selah Ceramics: A Personal Journey of Faith

In the storms of life, we often find ourselves searching—for meaning, solace, or something to hold onto amidst chaos. For me, that journey began in 2014, a year marked by personal turmoil but also divine intervention that would shape my life in unimaginable ways.

Amidst the pain of a difficult divorce, I discovered a newfound passion—ceramics, a simple hobby I shared with my mom. Little did I know, shaping clay would become more than a pastime—it would become a vessel for God’s purpose in my life. With every piece I created, I felt a profound sense of peace, a healing touch that mended the brokenness within me.

As I began stamping words of encouragement—Scripture, quotes, and messages of hope—onto bowls, what started as gifts for loved ones soon became a ministry. I watched as these handcrafted pieces touched lives, bringing inspiration and healing to others. It was as if God Himself was using my hands to share His message of love.

A pivotal moment came when I received a vision from God. I saw a spoon and heard His voice clearly: “My children are spiritually starving.” The image of a malnourished child struck me deeply—a reminder of the spiritual hunger plaguing our world. In that moment, I understood my calling: to nourish souls through Scripture-inspired ceramics.

Stepping out in faith, I poured my heart into creating bowls stamped with His Word, trusting that God would guide me. That trust led me to my first showcase at the Color Conference in South Africa, where Selah was born. The name, meaning “pause and reflect,” perfectly encapsulated the mission: to bring moments of reflection and God’s presence into everyday life.

Through challenges and triumphs, God revealed His faithfulness in profound ways. Even the color blue, chosen for the stamps, became symbolic—a representation of the Holy Spirit’s presence in my work. Selah Lifestyle evolved from a business into a sacred space where God’s promises became tangible, expressed in the beauty of handcrafted ceramics.
