Be Strong And Courageous Truth Tile

Be Strong And Courageous Truth Tile

A small square stoneware tile hand-stamped with "Be strong and courageous" - words to hold onto before something hard or unfamiliar, left in the range's natural matte finish so they read through shadow and texture in the clay itself. Part of Selah Lifestyle's Truth Tiles collection, this piece uses the collection's undyed lettering treatment.

The tile

Flat and square, approximately 100mm x 100mm, with the softly hand-formed edges typical of slab-built pottery. "Be strong and courageous" is stamped letter by letter using a typewriter-style stamp set, left undyed against the tile's natural stoneware colour, reading across three lines.

The phrase

"Be Strong And Courageous" echoes the charge given to Joshua as he prepared to lead - "Be strong and courageous... for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Handmade character

Every tile is handmade and hand-stamped, so small natural variations in stamp depth, texture and shape between individual pieces are normal - part of what makes each one unique, not a flaw.

Use

• Displayed flat on a shelf, nightstand or prayer corner
• Propped against a wall or used as a small wall tile
• Use as a rustic coaster
• A small, steadying word before something daunting or unfamiliar

Gifting

An encouraging gift for someone facing a new challenge - a new job, an exam, a house move, a diagnosis or difficult season, a big decision. Well suited to a graduation, confirmation, leaving gift or "just because" gift, or as a small, meaningful addition alongside a bigger present.

Care

This tile is stoneware fired to 1240°C, a fully vitrified temperature that makes the clay body dense and effectively waterproof even without a glaze. The standing recommendation is still hand wash only, in warm water with a mild detergent, dried thoroughly with a soft cloth. Not recommended for the dishwasher, microwave, oven or freezer. As with any ceramic piece, handle gently - it will chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface.
