Do Not Be Anxious Truth Tile

Do Not Be Anxious Truth Tile

A small, flat stoneware tile hand-stamped with a phrase worth keeping close on the days worry gets loud: "Do not be anxious." No colour, no gloss, just the words pressed into clay, letter by letter, and left to speak for themselves.

The tile

Each Truth Tile is a flat ceramic square, roughly 100mm x 100mm, made from stoneware and fired to a high, fully vitrified temperature. It's left in its natural matte finish rather than glazed, so the lettering reads through soft shadow and indentation instead of paint. It can be propped on a shelf or nightstand, set in a prayer corner, or used as a small wall tile.

The phrase

"Do not be anxious" is stamped across two lines - "Do not be" and "anxious" - in the same individually stamped, typewriter-style lettering used across the collection. It's a phrase many will recognise from scripture, though the exact reference depends on translation: it echoes both Matthew 6:25 and Philippians 4:6 in some English versions.

Christian meaning

This is a phrase of reassurance rather than instruction for its own sake — a reminder, repeated throughout scripture in different forms, that anxious thoughts don't have to be carried alone. Selah Lifestyle offers it as an encouragement to return to, not a command to feel differently on demand.

How to use it

Sit it on a windowsill, a desk, a bedside table, or anywhere it will be seen in a quiet moment. Some customers keep a truth tile somewhere they pray or journal; others simply like having a steadying phrase in view during a busy day. Alternatively, it could be used as a rustic coaster.

Gifting

A thoughtful, unshowy gift for someone going through a stressful season, a new parent, a student before exams, or a friend who could use a gentle reminder rather than advice. Suits birthdays, "just because" gifts, and encouragement gifts generally.

Handmade character

Each tile is handmade and hand-stamped, so small natural variations in stamp depth, edge shape and surface texture between individual pieces are normal - part of what makes it a handmade piece rather than a flaw to expect uniformity against.
