Salad Bowl – "The Winter Is Over" | Hand-Stamped Ceramic Bowl

A bowl for the season after winter

This handmade ceramic salad bowl is hand-stamped with the words "The winter is over," stamped in a single line across the well. It's finished in a glossy cream glaze, with a mottled, cell-like blue glaze pattern and fine speckling across part of the bowl, and the phrase stamped in soft blue lettering.

The phrase

"The winter is over" echoes the language of Song of Solomon 2:11 — "for, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone". It's a short, hopeful statement about a hard season passing and something new beginning.

Handmade character

Every piece is hand-shaped and hand-stamped, so small variations in glaze, stamp depth, texture and shape between individual bowls are normal, part of what makes each one unique, not a flaw. The mottled blue glaze pattern on this piece is a distinctive decorative touch that adds to its individual character.

Use and gifting

Use it as a salad bowl, a sharing bowl for sides, or a serving centrepiece at the table. Its hopeful wording makes it a meaningful gift for someone coming through a difficult season - after illness, loss, a hard year, or simply as encouragement that better days are ahead.
