Seek First Truth Tile

Seek First Truth Tile

A small, flat stoneware tile hand-stamped with a short, steadying priority: "seek first." No colour, no gloss — just the words pressed into clay, letter by letter, and left to speak for themselves.

The tile

Each Truth Tile is a flat ceramic square, roughly 100mm x 100mm, made from stoneware and fired to a high, fully vitrified temperature. It's left in its natural matte finish rather than glazed, so the lettering reads through soft shadow and indentation instead of paint. It can be propped on a shelf or nightstand, set in a prayer corner, or used as a small wall tile.

The phrase

"seek first" is stamped in lowercase on a single line, in the same individually stamped, typewriter-style lettering used across the collection. It echoes Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness" - part of the same Matthew 6 passage that also touches on not worrying and considering the lilies.

Christian meaning

A short prompt about priority rather than perfection - a reminder to put faith first, especially in a season of decisions, busyness or competing demands. Selah Lifestyle offers it as a gentle nudge, not a measure of how well someone is managing that.

How to use it

Sit it on a windowsill, a desk, a bedside table, or anywhere it will be seen in a quiet moment. Works well alongside a journal or Bible in a prayer corner, or on a desk during a season of decisions.

Gifting

A thoughtful gift for someone starting a new job, making a big decision, or wanting a simple daily prompt to keep their priorities in view. Suits graduation gifts, new-season gifts and encouragement gifts.

Handmade character

Each tile is handmade and hand-stamped, so small natural variations in stamp depth, edge shape and surface texture between individual pieces are normal — part of what makes it a handmade piece rather than a flaw to expect uniformity against.
