Abide Truth Tile

Abide Truth Tile

A small square stoneware tile hand-stamped with a single word; "Abide" - a quiet invitation to stay rather than strive. Part of Selah Lifestyle's Truth Tiles collection, this piece is left in a natural matte finish rather than glazed, so the stamped letters read through soft shadow and texture in the clay itself.

The tile

Flat and square, approximately 100mm x 100mm, with the softly hand-formed edges typical of slab-built pottery. "Abide" is stamped letter by letter using a typewriter-style stamp set, left undyed against the tile's natural stoneware colour.

The phrase

"Abide" echoes the language of John 15, where Jesus says "abide in me, and I in you" — a single-word invitation to rest and remain rather than to strive.

Handmade character

Every tile is handmade and hand-stamped, so small natural variations in stamp depth, texture and shape between individual pieces are normal - part of what makes each one unique, not a flaw.

Use

• Displayed flat on a shelf, nightstand or prayer corner
• Propped against a wall or used as a small wall tile
• Functional use as a decorative coaster
• A small, steady word to return to during a busy or striving season

Gifting

A calming gift for a Christian friend, daughter or sister who's learning to slow down or let go of striving, well suited to a birthday, confirmation or "just because" gift, or as a small, meaningful addition alongside a bigger present.

Care

This tile is stoneware fired to 1240°C, a fully vitrified temperature that makes the clay body dense and effectively waterproof even without a glaze. The standing recommendation is still hand wash only, in warm water with a mild detergent, dried thoroughly with a soft cloth. Not recommended for the dishwasher, microwave, oven or freezer. As with any ceramic piece, handle gently — it will chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface.
