As Pure As A Lily Truth Tile (Blue Stamp)

As Pure As A Lily Truth Tile (Blue Stamp)

A small square stoneware tile hand-stamped with "as pure as a lily" - a gentle image of purity and grace, stamped in blue along the tile's edge. Part of Selah Lifestyle's Truth Tiles collection, this piece keeps the range's natural matte finish but carries the collection's blue-infill lettering treatment, so the words stand out in colour rather than through shadow alone.

The tile

Flat and square, approximately 100mm x 100mm, with the softly hand-formed edges typical of slab-built pottery. "as pure as a lily" is stamped letter by letter using a typewriter-style stamp set, the impressions filled in blue against the tile's natural stoneware colour, reading in lowercase down the right-hand side of the tile across five short lines.

The phrase

"As pure as a lily" is a Christian-inspired image of purity, gentleness and grace - the lily is a recurring symbol of purity in scripture. This phrase comes from Song of Songs 2:2 in The Passion Translation: “Yes, you are my darling companion. You stand out from all the rest. For though the curse of sin surrounds you, still you remain as pure as a lily, even more than all others.”

Handmade character

Every tile is handmade and hand-stamped, so small natural variations in stamp depth, lettering infill and shape between individual pieces are normal - part of what makes each one unique, not a flaw.

Use

• Displayed flat on a shelf, nightstand or prayer corner
• Propped against a wall or used as a small wall tile
• Use as a rustic coaster
• A gentle keepsake to mark an occasion built around purity, new beginnings or grace

Gifting

A tender gift for a christening, baptism or confirmation, a bridesmaid or wedding gift, or a new baby girl - well suited wherever purity, grace or gentleness are the sentiment. Also a thoughtful "just because" gift for someone with a gentle, graceful spirit.

Care

This tile is stoneware fired to 1240°C, a fully vitrified temperature that makes the clay body dense and effectively waterproof even without a glaze. The standing recommendation is still hand wash only, in warm water with a mild detergent, dried thoroughly with a soft cloth. Not recommended for the dishwasher, microwave, oven or freezer. As with any ceramic piece, handle gently - it will chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface.
