Delight Yourself In The Lord Truth Tile (Blue Stamp)

Delight Yourself In The Lord Truth Tile

This small ceramic tile carries a well-loved line of scripture: "Delight yourself in the Lord." Hand-stamped letter by letter and picked out in blue against a matte, unglazed stoneware body, it's a simple, steady reminder to root joy in something bigger than the day's circumstances.

The phrase

"Delight yourself in the Lord" is drawn from Psalm 37:4, part of a psalm about trusting God rather than being troubled by the apparent success of those who do wrong. [CONFIRM REQUIRED — exact translation: the wording stamped here matches versions such as the ESV and NKJV; other translations render this verse slightly differently, e.g. "Take delight in the LORD" (NIV).] It's a call to find genuine delight in faith itself, not just to endure it.

Product details

Made from stoneware clay, fired to 1240°C — a fully vitrified stoneware firing that leaves the body dense and effectively non-porous even without a surface glaze. The tile itself is left in its natural matte finish, with the phrase stamped into the clay and the lettering infilled in blue. At approximately 100mm x 100mm, it's a compact piece — small enough to hold, sized to sit on a shelf, nightstand or prayer corner, or to be used as a wall tile.

Christian meaning

As a direct line of scripture rather than a paraphrase, this tile carries its meaning plainly: joy and delight are meant to be found in a relationship with God, not just duty. It sits well as an everyday reminder that faith isn't only about getting through — it's also about genuine delight.

Use

Set it somewhere it will be seen daily — a windowsill, a bedside table, a desk, a prayer corner — or use it as a small wall tile. It works well as a single piece or alongside other tiles from the collection.

Gifting

A meaningful gift for a Christian friend, a new believer, or anyone who could use a scripture-based reminder to root their joy in something steady — for a birthday, a baptism or confirmation, an encouragement gift, or a "just because."

Handmade character

Each tile is handmade and hand-stamped, so small natural variations in stamp depth, letter spacing, tile shape and the exact tone of the blue infill between individual pieces are normal — part of the tile's handmade character, not a flaw.
