Joy Spiral Round Trinket Tray

Joy Spiral Round Trinket Tray

A small round ceramic tray with the word "joy" hand-stamped over and over - not once or twice, but dozens of times, swirling across almost the whole surface in a dense, scattered spiral. Part of Selah Lifestyle's Round Trinket Tray collection, it's designed to sit on a bedside table, console or windowsill, catching rings, earrings and the small things that need a place to land.

The tray

Flat and shallow with gently sloped sides, the tray has the soft, slightly uneven edge typical of handmade pottery, finished in a glossy cream glaze. Rather than a single centred phrase, this piece is covered in more than fifty individually hand-stamped instances of the word "joy," in small navy lowercase lettering, turned at different angles across the tray so the pattern reads as a swirl rather than a straight line.

The phrase

Joy is one of the most repeated notes in scripture - from "the joy of the Lord is your strength" to joy named among the fruit of the Spirit. Here, rather than quoting a single verse, the word itself is repeated until it feels less like a single sentiment and more like something overflowing.

Handmade character

Every tray is handmade, and this design in particular is entirely hand-stamped word by word, dozens of individual impressions, each placed and angled by hand, so no two Joy Spiral trays will have exactly the same arrangement. That variation is part of the piece's character, not a flaw.

Use

• Catch-all tray for rings, earrings and small jewellery
• Bedside, console or windowsill display
• A small, meaningful object to keep in view

Gifting

A bold, joyful gift for a big celebration - a milestone birthday, an engagement, a new baby, a significant answered prayer as well as a general encouragement gift for a Christian friend, sister or mum who could use a reminder that joy isn't in short supply.

Care

Hand wash only, in warm water with a mild detergent, and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before use. Not recommended for the dishwasher, microwave, oven or freezer. As with any ceramic piece, handle gently - it will chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface. With hand washing and gentle handling, it's designed for everyday, long-term use.
