Square Trinket Tray – Held by Hope

A steady word for an unsteady season

This square trinket tray is hand-shaped in soft cream glaze and hand-stamped with "held by hope," the words stacked across its centre in three lines. It's a small, quiet object to hold onto: literally, for rings and everyday trinkets, and in what it says, for anyone who needs reminding that they're not carrying things alone.

The phrase

"Held by hope" is a Christian-inspired phrase taken from Psalm 91:2 in The Passion Translation: "He's the hope that holds me and the stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence." It speaks to being upheld, not by our own strength, but by something steadier than the circumstances in front of us. God acts as a steady anchor when life feels uncertain.

Handmade character

Each tray is hand-built and hand-stamped, so the edges have a soft, slightly waved line rather than a perfectly straight one, and the glaze pools and settles a little differently on every piece. These small variations in shape, glaze and stamp depth are part of what makes each tray one of a kind, not a flaw, but the mark of something made by hand.

Use

Sized to sit on a bedside table, console or windowsill, the tray is designed to catch rings, earrings and small everyday trinkets, while quietly doing a second job as a small, steady reminder in view each day.

Gifting

A gentle gift for someone facing a difficult diagnosis, a loss, a long wait or an uncertain season — the kind of gift that says something when it's hard to find the right words yourself. Also fitting as a sympathy gift, a thinking-of-you gift, or an encouragement gift for a friend in Bible study or church community.
